My first ever “pro” games journalist job was for a nationally-syndicated video game radio show that aired on Saturday nights. I got the job because I kept telling the editor how many mistakes he was making every week.

I mean, really, calling the “Nejicon” the “Neg-Con”. Ugh.

Anyway they called me a “games guru” when I presented a piece on air and I thought that was especially silly since the only game I’m a guru about is Wizball which came out in 1987 and I haven’t played a video game since.
