Nothing worse than coming back from a vacation and discovering the world managed to keep turning in your absence, just like the time I didn’t buy that copy of Computer & Video Games magazine the day it came out like usual and when I went back the next week someone else had bought it my world was shattered.
Funnily enough my first time in a radio station was for the graveyard shift. I met this woman at a Clouds concert and struck up a conversation because that’s the kind of smooth talker I am. Actually I think she asked me what was wrong with my face. Anyway. Turns out she was a DJ for the local community station up the road and she was working the graveyard shift after the concert finished. So I tagged along and we played lots of Clouds music and it was pretty fun and there’s a lot of work that goes into keeping the music going, but maybe that was just because the station’s annual budget was like $10.

Anyway they called me a “games guru” when I presented a piece on air and I thought that was especially silly since the only game I’m a guru about is Wizball which came out in 1987 and I haven’t played a video game since.
The cats just love my swivel chair though, you just need to make sure you’re outside the blast zone when giving them a spin.
But who can be mad when they’re just so cuuuuute.
